The people's Pulse

Keeping the Heartbeat of Our Community Strong

I’m thrilled to announce a new chapter in our journey, one that reflects the growing impact of our work and the broader community. With great excitement, I introduce "The People’s Pulse."

Why “The People’s Pulse”? Because it’s about us. Our voices, our stories, our struggles, and our victories - they’re the heartbeat of progress. This new quarterly newsletter includes the entire 81st District - from schools and small businesses to rural roads and city blocks - The People’s Pulse will stay rooted in truth, love, and action. We move onward together facing our shadow and celebrating our shine. Enjoy your day!

Federal Government Shutdown

The federal government is in a shutdown, several key agencies—including the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Education—have released contingency plans and resources to help the public stay informed during this period.

Importantly, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will remain available and continue to operate as normal. Students and families can still complete and submit their FAFSA forms without interruption.

Please stay informed, remain encouraged, and engage with your elected representatives —reach out to share your concerns, ask questions, and advocate for the services that matter most to you and your community.
